When you start building your Liinks page, you get to choose how you want to do it. On the first onboarding screen you'll see two options:
- Chat with AI — tell Liinksy, our friendly assistant, what you want and he'll build your page for you.
- Set it up yourself — pick a template and customize it step by step.
You can change anything later no matter which path you choose, so there's no wrong answer. This article covers the chat option. If you'd rather build manually, see Create a page.
Chatting with Liinksy
Pick Chat with AI and Liinksy will start a quick conversation. He asks for one thing at a time and builds your page as you go, so you can watch a live preview of your profile update on the right. On mobile, tap the preview button to see it, or just ask Liinksy to "show me my page" and he'll open the preview for you.
You don't need to know anything about design. Liinksy makes opinionated choices for you based on what you tell him, then checks in so you can ask for tweaks.
What Liinksy will walk you through
Liinksy keeps things short and skips any step he can already fill in for you. A typical conversation looks like this:
- Start from Instagram (optional). Liinksy asks for your Instagram handle. If you share it, he reads your public profile and automatically pulls in your name, bio, profile photo, the link from your bio, and your social icons. You can skip this if you'd rather not connect Instagram.
- Add your first link. If you skipped Instagram, Liinksy asks for the first link you'd like to feature: your website, music, shop, or anything else. He scrapes that page to fill in your name, bio, and photo, and adds the link as a featured block.
- Or describe yourself. Don't have a link handy? Choose to describe yourself or your business instead, and Liinksy will write a starter bio and set up your page from your description.
- Add your social icons. Liinksy offers the most common platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter / X, LinkedIn, and more). Just give him your username for each one and he builds the correct link automatically.
- Pick a visual style. Choose a vibe like Clean & minimal, Bold & dark, Soft & pastel, Playful & colorful, or Elegant & editorial. You can also build the look around a specific brand color, or let Liinksy surprise you. He'll apply a matching palette, fonts, and layout in one go.
- Finish up. When you're happy with how it looks, Liinksy wraps things up and takes you to your dashboard.
Ask Liinksy to create images for you
Don't have a profile photo or a logo handy? Liinksy can generate images for you with AI. Just ask in plain language, for example:
- "Make me a profile picture of a coffee cup on a pastel background"
- "Create a logo for my bakery"
- "Generate a background for my page"
- "Make an image for this link"
Liinksy can create a profile picture or avatar, a logo or monogram, a page background, or an image for one of your links. He'll show you 2 to 4 options as tappable thumbnails: tap the one you like best and Liinksy applies it to your page automatically. If none of them feel right, just ask for another set or describe what you'd like to change.
A couple of things to keep in mind:
- Logos are symbols, not words. AI-generated images can't reliably spell out text, so a logo will be an iconic mark rather than your business name in letters. You can always add a text block with your name separately.
- Everything stays editable. A generated image works just like any image you upload, so you can swap or remove it later in the editor.
Tips for chatting with Liinksy
- You can skip any step. If something doesn't apply to you, choose the skip option and move on.
- Ask for changes. After Liinksy makes a choice, you can reply in plain language: "make it darker," "use a different font," or "change my bio." He'll update the page for you.
- Nothing is locked in. Everything Liinksy creates is fully editable. Once you reach your dashboard, you can fine-tune every block, color, and setting in the editor just like a page you built by hand.
Prefer to set it up yourself?
If you'd rather start from a template and build at your own pace, choose Set it up yourself on the first screen. That walks you through the classic step-by-step flow described in Create a page. You can always explore the editor and add or change blocks whenever you like.
