The Countdown Timer block shows a live-ticking timer that counts down to a date and time you choose. It's built for launches, drops, sales, and event registrations: anything where you want visitors to feel the clock running.
How to add a Countdown Timer block
- In your admin, open the page editor and click Add Block.
- Choose Countdown Timer (you'll find it in the Engagement section).
- Set Ends At: the date and time the timer counts down to. The timer displays in each visitor's local timezone, so everyone sees the correct remaining time no matter where they are.
- Add a Headline (for example, "Launching soon") and an optional Description.
- Optionally add a button below the timer, linking to a URL, an email address, or one of your pages.
What happens when the timer hits zero
In the After it ends section, choose the block's end behavior:
- Show a message: the timer swaps for copy you write in the Ended Message field.
- Hide the countdown: the block removes itself from your page once time runs out.
Reveal a block at zero
You can also pick a hidden block in the Reveal a block dropdown. The moment the countdown ends, that block goes live on your page. Visitors watching at that moment see it appear on the spot, with confetti.
To use this, first add the block you want to reveal (for example, a link to your new product) and hide it. Then select it from the Reveal a block dropdown in the countdown's settings. When you save, the hidden block is scheduled to publish exactly when the countdown ends.
Tips
- Pair the countdown with an Announcement banner or popup to push the same launch at the top of your profile.
- The countdown inherits your page design, so it matches the rest of your blocks automatically.
- You can style, reorder, and hide the block like any other block on your page.
