Auto-add links in Instagram posts
This feature is only available on our Premium plan
By connecting your Liinks account to Instagram, you can automatically extract links from the captions of new Instagram posts and add them to your page.
How does it work?
Whenever you create a new post on Instagram, we'll automatically check the caption for a link. If we find one, we will add this link to your page. Please note:
- We look for any url that starts with
http://,https://orwww. - We use the first url we find in the caption.
- After posting, your page will update within 60 seconds.
How do I enable this feature?
- Make sure you're logged in to the Instagram account you want to connect on your browser.
- Create an Instagram Scraper block
- Connect your Liinks account to Instagram by clicking the "Connect Instagram" button on your settings page.
- Authorize the requested permissions.
- Create a new Instagram post and include a link in the caption.
- See the link magically appear on your page!
What will my auto-published links look like?
We will use the image from your Instagram post as the thumbnail, and the caption as the text! You can choose the layout of auto-published links by editing the Instagram Scraper block.
Where will the links be added to?
Extracted links will be added directly beneath your Instagram Scraper block.
After a my post is auto-published, can I change the post on Instagram?
Yes - once the link has been posted to you Liinks profile, you can update the Instagram post (including deleting the URL) and it won't have any effect on the auto-publishedblock on your Liinks profile.
Common Issues
Media permission not granted
When connecting your Instagram account to Liinks, you will be asked to grant the "Media" permission - we need this to scrape your posts so please leave this permission checked.
